Before you start
Move all belongings out first and find your entry condition report. It shows what the property looked like when you moved in and is what your agent will compare against.
Kitchen

- ✓Inside and outside of cupboards and drawers
- ✓Sink, taps and splashback
- ✓Dishwasher filter and seals
- ✓Fridge space and walls behind appliances
Bathrooms & laundry
- ✓Shower screens, tiles and grout
- ✓Toilet including base and behind
- ✓Vanity, mirrors and cabinets
- ✓Exhaust fans
- ✓Laundry tub and dryer lint filter
- ✓Drains cleared of hair and debris
Bedrooms & living areas
- ✓Wardrobes inside and out, including tracks
- ✓Skirting boards, doors and door frames
- ✓Light switches and power points
- ✓Marks on walls (spot clean carefully)
- ✓Light fittings and ceiling fans
- ✓Vacuum and mop all floors
Windows & extras

- ✓Blinds and curtain rails
- ✓Fly screens
- ✓Air-conditioner filters
- ✓Carpets (steam clean if your lease requires it)
Outdoors

- ✓Remove rubbish and garden waste
- ✓Clean outdoor lights and letterbox
- ✓Leave lawns and gardens tidy if they're your responsibility
